I just want to say how much I appreciate Ron's total support of the Hula and Tahitian dance community, as well as his support for Hawaiian independence. Ron shows up early at events, offers to help, and photographs almost all the Polynesian dance performances and events in the Bay Area. Then he unselfishly posts his photos on websites so that we may all view and share in the joy of the event. (And one day a historian is going to realize the value of Ron's documentation of the local Pacific Islander cultural scene!) Ron also runs several Hawaiian/Polynesian yahoo lists and newsgroups, which also help to keep us connected as a community.
