NY Pizza mockery
Anyone who claims this is "Authentic", "New York Style" or even as the menu claims "Neopolitan" Pizza has no idea what any of those terms means. The crust is boring and has all the excitement of yeasty cardboard, the sauce taste from a can and presumably mixed with a bag of sugar, the mozzarella is that same processed fake cheese that every pizza stand south of new york uses because the average consumer doesn't know that real mozzarella is sliced NOT shredded.

If any Joe can slap a tacky broken plaster Statue of Liberty on the top of the building, buy some extra large pizza pans and call their pizza "New York Style" then surely they would name it Valentino's. Add on top of this the staff at the restaurant has an attitude that really makes you wonder if they are on a prison work release program and you can understand why I wouldn't recommend this place to my in-laws.

It just goes to show if you price your product in the high end of the market and add a qualifier to it like 'New York Style', people will buy into it. Its the placebo effect. You want to believe you didn't just waste money on pizza that taste about the same as what you get out of the freezer section of the grocery store.

If you want New York Pizza don't spend your money here and save it for a trip to New York. Go to a real pizzeria, with a wood or coal fire brick oven and taste what real pizza is, then come to this hot dog stand and tell me they should not be shamed out of the food service industry.

This place is a mockery and a fraud. I would give it a minus 1 star if the scale could go that low. - doctor , posted 03/13/08
