K&D have a knack for balance. And balance my friends, especially in downtempo, chillout, or ambient music is key. The music should (at least in my firm opinion) distract just enough to let you know it's there and adding to what your doing, which in my case is usually drawing, writing, or reading. The jazzy influence on this collection is spectacular. Along with old-school hip-hop and jam band sounds, the vibes are clearly chill. And that is a beautiful thing. - Mike , posted 10/29/06 |
