Agree with the Washingtonian
My first venture to the Amphora in Vienna was a late late Wednesday night in college. The local Fairfax Denny's was crowded and 29 Diner was getting a little boring. Viola! Amphora! The Vienna location is open 24 hours. Talk about good food at ANY hour of the day.
The service may be a tad slow at time, but the meals never dissappoint!. Even the Falafal and Grilled Cheese are huge portions, but save room for dessert.
They're bakery churns out several awesome cakes and specialties, which you can order out. For about the same price as a huge Costco cake, go for the Amphora cake instead.
The only dissappointment is that the cake or pie you may want (in my case, Key Lime Pie) may be on the menu, but is sold out, or not avalible at the time.
Great for college kids and other night owls tired of the Denny's/IHOP experience. Please take note though...sitting for 3-5 hours is generally frowned upon, unless at 3am and you tip extremely well.
