Alchemy is a long running goth/electronic dance night in Washington DC. It features a stable of the best area DJs playing both long time favorite like Siouxsie, Sisters, Front 242, 80s as well as the newest sounds from bands like Hocico, Funker Vogt, Apoptygma Bezerk and Infected Mushroom. Past bands to play at Alchemy include VNV Nation, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Voltaire, Hanzel und Gretyl, Pigface, Ohgr, The Mission UK, Ego Likeness, David J and many MANY more. If you like elecronic based (EBM/electronica/techno) or goth/deathrock dance music Alchemy is a must. Nation features several bars, HUGE dance floors and state of the art lights. Alchemy takes place from 9 pm-2 am every Thursday at Nation (half & K St. SW). There is open bar and 2 for 1 cover from 9-10pm. - Philip , posted 03/22/05 |
