Hello. I currently live in the Mission District of San Francisco, but I am moving to DC in August/Sept 1 at latest for Grad school in Acting.
About me: I am an actress and right now work as a QA Manager for an internet startup in SF. I am soooo happy to be going off to school for my MFA. I think I'm pretty nice, outgoing, and mellow. People tell me I'm funny. I like to have fun. I like people and art, music, concerts, dancing, parks, sunshine, soccer, aerial arts, burning man, discussions of current events, politics, culture, film, trying new things, learning, growing, camping, hiking, fun things.
As a roomate, I am hardly ever home as I am often working, at class, or at rehearsal or out and about, but I like people and I usually make friends with my roomates. I am clean in the common areas, like I wash dishes, and don't leave stuff all over, etc, but my room is usually messy though I hope to change that by having more organization when I move and for apartment cleaning I either need a schedule for cleaning, to be reminded to clean or hire a cleaning service for the house if you're really into it being really clean. If I see a mess, I will clean it, but it's not my priority in the house. I always pay rent and house bills on time.
As for roomates what I hope for is healthy, happy people who are social, busy, active, communicators who are reasonably clean, do more than watch TV whilst at home, have a life they like, pay rent and bills on time, and are friendly, fun whom I could get on well with.
As for dynamics, I like dinner parties and bbqs and out of town guests and friends over. I like feeling like the house is a friendly place people would want to hang out at when they were not busy out and about.
Right now I live with 2 guys and another girl aged from 25-35 and I love these people. It will be very sad to leave them and SF, but I am excited and hopeful at the prospect of finding awesome happy people in DC.
I hear Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, Petworth, Foggy Bottom, Capitol Hill are areas I'd want to live for both vibe and location to school, so that's where I am looking.
As far as space goes, I'd love a bigger size room, outside space in the house like a yard/porch or something, and I hear AC is necessary in DC.
