Job Opportunity - pre-sales technical person in Washington, DC

My company FAST is looking for an experienced technical sales engineer for the Washington, DC office. This is a federal sales position, but we support commercial customers as well. I've been here a year and I really like my job. Microsoft recently announced that they are acquiring FAST and this is a good thing. MSFT will be leaving us a separate business unit for at least this year. There is some travel, but most of the work is in the DC metro area.

Required skills:
• Proven sales skills: Creating and delivering presentations, creating and presenting product demonstrations, creating proof of concept applications (POCs), RFP writing
• Strong technical skills and willingness to learn new technologies
• Federal sales experience a plus
• Experience with search technology a plus
• Web server programming (HTML, JSP, ASP)

Desired skills:
• Search engine technology
• Java or .NET programming
• Database design/programming skills (SQL, DDL)
• XML and XSLT programming
• Python programming
