Ensemble Mumtaz is a Middle Eastern dance student company affiliated with Joy of Motion Dance Center ("JOM"), under the direction of Laurel Victoria Gray. Come out and enjoy an enchanting evening exploring a wide variety of traditional an innovative Middle Eastern dance. Travel from an Turkish Ottoman Harem to a village in India; go from the glamor of an Egyptian "Golden Age" movie, to a fiery Spanish -Arabic fusion choreography. With a special appearance by JOM's teen performance group Raqs Jameel, and other guest artists, the concert with introduce the audience to traditional dance as well as modern favorites.
