American Indian Society of Washington, D.C. hosts the All Tribal Nations Mother’s Day Powwow
Reservation Lane, Ruther Glen, VA 22546 (at the intersection of Ruther Glen Road)
Saturday May 10th & Sunday May 11th, 2008, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Grand entries are at 12:00 noon
Admission $10 per car at Gate
Main Attractions: honoring for Mothers and Grandmothers, Native American Traditional Dancing, Drumming, & Singing, Authentic Native American Arts & Crafts, Native American Vendors
Honored Guests: Master of Ceremony – Lawrence Baker (Mandan/Hidatsa), Color Guard – Women Nation Color Guard, Head Drum – Black Bear (Southern), White Oak Singers – (Northern) Invited, All Drums Welcome.Arena Director – Tim Grant (Omaha), Head Man –Clayton Old Elk (Crow), Head Lady – Mary Phillips (Omaha/Laguna Pueblo), AIS Powwow Princess 2007 Sierra Hill (Six Nations Seneca/Ojibway), AIS Junior Princess Leah Hill (Six Nations Seneca/Ojibway), All dancers welcome in traditional powwow regalia. Hand game Saturday evening time TBA
